Hlx are currently partnered with a science-led clinical development consultancy partnering with life sciences companies to design and execute development strategies that maximise regulatory and commercial success. The organisation works across the full clinical development lifecycle to commercialisation, providing flexible, hands-on support tailored to client needs across multiple therapeutic areas and development phases.
Role SummaryScientific individual contributor supporting consulting projects and taking accountability for defined project work streams and deliverables.
Key Responsibilities- Support consulting projects as directed, taking ownership of assigned tasks and deliverables
- Lead development of specific project outputs with minimal supervision, including:
- Literature reviews and data mining
- Drafting sections of reports, slide decks, and other client-facing materials
- Provide regular progress updates and ensure timelines and quality standards are met
- Participate routinely in client meetings and discussions
- Ensure adherence to internal policies, standards, and procedures
- Maintain awareness of relevant regulatory requirements, guidelines, and industry trends
- Advanced degree in a life sciences discipline (PhD or MD preferred)
- Typically 3+ years of industry experience in clinical development, including prior consulting exposure
- Prior training or experience with ICH-GCP preferred
- Comfortable interfacing with clients and senior consultants, including presenting work
- Solid understanding of the biopharmaceutical R&D and clinical development process
- Strong scientific and technical writing skills; excellent verbal communication
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point
- Able to work flexibly to tight deadlines in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Highly organised with strong time management, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Evidence-based, insightful, and confident in constructively challenging scientific and strategic assumptions
- Able to critically evaluate scientific literature and apply insights to project needs
- Strategic thinker with the ability to identify knowledge gaps
- Self-motivated, collaborative, and driven to progress within consulting and the wider life sciences industry
