Booth Welsh are currently recruiting on behalf of leading precision manufacturing organisations operating across Glasgow and Ayrshire. Due to continued growth and sustained project demand, we are seeking an experienced QA Inspector to join well-established inspection team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a quality professional with a strong manufacturing background to join a high-performing environment where quality, compliance, and continuous improvement are central to operations.
The Role
As QA Inspector, you will carry out detailed inspections and quality checks on materials, components, and finished products to ensure they meet required specifications, industry standards, and regulatory compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct in-process and final inspections of mechanical or manufactured components
Use precision measuring equipment including callipers, micrometres, gauges, and CMMs
Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and quality documentation
Accurately document inspection results and maintain detailed QA records
Identify and report non-conformities, supporting root cause analysis and corrective actions
Assist with internal audits and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health & safety and quality procedures
Support wider operational requirements as needed
Skills & Attributes
High attention to detail with a strong commitment to quality standards
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Methodical and structured approach to inspection activities
Experience & Qualifications
Previous experience as a QA/QC Inspector within a manufacturing or engineering environment
Time served apprenticeship desirable
Strong understanding of quality inspection tools and methodologies
Ability to confidently read and interpret technical engineering drawings
