Head Veterinary Surgeon – The Glasgow Hub
(Comprising Alba Vet, 3 Mile, and First Vets Glasgow)
As Head Veterinary Surgeon, you will play a pivotal role in leading clinical excellence across our Glasgow Hub. Working closely with the Practice Director and Nurse Manager, you'll ensure our veterinary teams deliver outstanding patient care and client service. Salary for this role is up to £70k DOE, plus benefits.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and inspire the veterinary team
, driving clinical standards and fostering a culture of excellence. - Deliver exceptional care to patients and clients, ensuring treatment aligns with best practice and the RCVS
- Support the Practice Director in maintaining and improving clinical standards, contributing to strategic decisions on service delivery and growth.
- Manage the veterinary team
, including regular check-ins, competency reviews, salary discussions, and rota planning in collaboration with the Practice Director. - Collaborate on business performance
, including budgeting, financial planning, and client service optimisation. - Perform advanced clinical procedures
, including emergency surgeries such as exploratory laparotomies, pleural effusion drainage, and feline urinary obstruction management. - Champion innovation
, introducing forward-thinking medical and surgical techniques to enhance patient outcomes. - Build strong client relationships
