An opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Senior Addiction Nurse within the North East Alcohol and Drug Recovery Service. Glasgow Alcohol & Drug Recovery Service is committed to providing high quality care using an integrated model of care delivery. You would be working as part of a large team dealing with complex clients with drug and alcohol problems and associated physical and mental health problems.

You will assume a supervisory role with junior members of staff. You will be expected to work closely with Children and Families and Criminal Justice Services amongst others. You should be highly motivated and have excellent communication skills. This role will have a focus on BBV management within the team. This will include training of staff in collaboration with medical staff, you will liaise with liver nurses and gastro-enterology out with the team.

You will also be responsible for referrals and supporting the NE ADRS team in all aspects of care related to the reduction in BBV’s.
