Overview

You may be expected to work in another clinical area when service needs are required. The post involves 12 hour shifts (day/night rotations) and weekend working.
RoleWe have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Charge Nurse to join our team within Ward 5B Diabetes/Endocrine at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
Responsibilities- Assess, deliver and supervise all care needs within the ward environment.
- Demonstrate sound clinical skills for assessing patient needs, implementing and evaluating evidence-based care.
- Maintain high clinical standards in a fast-paced environment; be flexible, forward thinking and able to work in a changing environment.
- Participate in communications as part of the multidisciplinary team to enhance the patient journey.
- Be accountable to the Senior Charge Nurse; work on your own merit with support from the wider nursing team.
- Possess excellent communication and decision-making skills with ongoing professional development.
- Essential: currently a Registered Nurse with the NMC and evidence of continuing professional development.
- Desirable: experience in Diabetes/Endocrine nursing (not essential).
- It is essential to have a live NMC pin to be considered.
