An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Maxfax / Head & Neck Cancer Surgery team at the Institute of Neurological Sciences, Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

The department of OMFS / Head & Neck Cancer services provides pioneering OMFS / Head & Neck procedures and care as part of regional services for the West of Scotland. We have a 23‑bedded ward providing emergency and elective Max Fax and Head & Neck cancer surgery as part of the Neuroscience & OMFS Service to the West of Scotland. You will work 12‑hour shifts to cover the 24/7 service.

• Work 12‑hour shifts covering the 24/7 service on the 23‑bedded ward.
• Provide patient‑centred care for emergency and elective Max Fax and Head & Neck cancer surgery patients.
• Support the team through clinical rounds, ward rounds and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Engage in continuing professional development and maintain competence through in‑house training and university accredited courses.
• Demonstrate commitment to the needs of our patients and to the service.

• Registered nurse with registration with the UK NMC.
• Experience in OMFS / Head & Neck Surgery nursing is preferred but not essential.
• Commitment to patient‑centred care and continuing professional development.
• Understanding of the service and specific needs of our patients, or a commitment to learn and develop these skills.
