As a Band 5 Registered Nurse you will play a pivotal role in delivering compassionate and effective care, contributing to individualized care plans and working closely with patients, families and the multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities- Providing high‑quality, evidence‑based nursing care to patients admitted to the IPU.
- Monitoring, assessing and documenting patient conditions and progress.
- Administering medication and treatments safely and accurately in accordance with NMC guidelines and local policies.
- Working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver patient‑centred care plans.
- Promoting dignity, respect and compassion in all interactions with patients, families and colleagues.
- Supporting patient and family education, advocacy and involvement in care decisions.
- Contributing to quality improvement initiatives and maintaining high standards of infection prevention and control.
- Taking appropriate action in emergencies, following protocols and seeking senior support as required.
- Engaging in regular supervision, training and reflective practice to support your professional development.
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as a Registered Nurse (Level 1).
- Recent experience in an acute care, community or specialist inpatient setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to work as part of a team and independently.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice.
- Understanding of safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion in healthcare.
Salary:
Marie Curie Clinical Pay Scale Band 5 (aligned with AFC) £33 247 – 41 424 TOP LEVEL pro ratto per annum + enhancements.
Contract:
12‑month fixed‑term contract, 37.5 hours per week, 2 positions.
