NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde provides acute, primary, and community health services to a population of over 1.15 million people. We are hiring a Band 5 Mental Health Nurse for the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) – Stobhill Hospital, with an initial base at Skye House Adolescent Unit.
Shift pattern: Full‑time (37‑hour) permanent post working 24‑hour rotational shifts. Effective 1 April 2026, the full‑time hours for all Agenda for Change posts will be reduced to 36 hours.
Eligibility: A live NMC UK pin is required for consideration.
ResponsibilitiesAs a vital member of the team you will:
- Assess young people with moderate to severe psychiatric and neurodevelopmental challenges.
- Plan and deliver treatment, including care of patients, families, and carers.
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, participating in regular clinical supervision.
- Shape and develop the Band 5 nursing role within CAMHS.
- Provide out‑of‑hours support on a rotational basis as required.
- Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or Learning Disabilities (LD) Nurse with active NMC registration.
- A compassionate, proactive nurse who thrives working both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A genuine commitment to improving the lives of children and young people.
- Willingness to participate in out‑of‑hours support on a rotational basis.

Important Notes- Evidence of active NMC registration is required within your application form in order to be shortlisted (NRN applicants should go via the central recruitment process for GG&C).
