Events & Marketing Coordinator

Location: Glasgow (with travel required)

Type: Full-time

Reports to: Marketing Manager

Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

About Whisky Asset

Whisky Asset is building a modern, story-led approach to whisky cask ownership. We are buyers, not brokers, owning the casks we sell and approaching whisky with long-term thinking, care, and cultural intent.

We operate as a lifestyle and heritage brand rather than a traditional sales-led business. Real-world events and experiences play a central role in how the brand is expressed, from private tastings to hosted gatherings and brand-led moments designed to build long-term trust and relationships.

About the Role

We are looking for an Events & Marketing Coordinator to work closely with our Marketing Manager, with a primary focus on planning and delivering events and experiences that bring the Whisky Asset brand into the real world.

This role is first and foremost an events coordination role.

You will be responsible for organising, managing, and delivering premium whisky tastings, private events, and hosted experiences for clients and prospective partners. From logistics and suppliers to guest management and on-the-day delivery, you will play a key role in ensuring every event is well executed and aligned with the brand.

Alongside this, you will support marketing activity where needed, particularly around campaign shoots, content capture at events, and light coordination of social and brand assets.

Marketing experience is beneficial, but events delivery is the priority.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is highly organised, detail-focused, and confident operating in live environments.

Why This Matters

Events are where Whisky Asset becomes tangible.

This role is central to ensuring that every tasting, gathering, and experience feels intentional, professional, and aligned with the brand’s long-term vision. The right person will help translate the brand from strategy into real-world moments that build trust and lasting relationships.

Responsibilities Events & Experiences (Primary Focus)
  • Plan, coordinate, and deliver exclusive whisky tastings, private client events, and brand-led experiences
  • Manage venues, suppliers, schedules, guest lists, and on-the-day logistics
  • Act as a key point of contact during events, ensuring smooth delivery and calm problem-solving
  • Work closely with the Marketing Manager to shape event concepts and ensure alignment with brand direction
  • Support the capture of high-quality content during events for use across marketing channels
Marketing & Campaign Support (Secondary)
  • Assist with the planning and coordination of marketing campaign shoots
  • Support seasonal campaigns through coordination and organisation

Assist with social media scheduling where required
  • Help manage marketing assets including photography, video, and campaign materials
  • Ensure brand consistency across event and marketing touchpoints
Sales & Internal Collaboration
  • Work with the sales team to plan and deliver intimate tasting sessions for invited contacts and clients
  • Collaborate closely with the Marketing Manager to prioritise workload and manage timelines
  • Take ownership of individual projects, working proactively while keeping the wider team aligned
What We’re Looking For Essential
  • Proven experience coordinating events, experiences, or hospitality-led projects
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Confidence managing suppliers, venues, and logistics
  • Comfortable working in live environments and adapting when needed
  • Willingness to travel and work evenings or weekends around events
Nice to Have
  • Experience supporting marketing or brand-led activity
  • Interest in premium brands, culture, or hospitality
  • Familiarity with content capture or social coordination

We value taste, care, and initiative just as much as formal qualifications. Marketing experience is a bonus, but events experience is essential.

Working Style
  • Office-based in Glasgow
  • Regular travel for events and campaigns
  • Some evening and weekend work expected
  • A practical, hands-on role with real responsibility
