*** The Senior Marketing Manager will report to the Senior Manager, B2B Marketing and will have 2 Direct Reports. The Senior Marketing Manager is expected to contribute to the wider strategic debate within Marketing, lead on high profile campaigns /strategic projects and present themselves as the lead Marketing contact to a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
*** What you’ll be doing
**** Play an active part in setting the strategic direction for the Business Marketing team, acting as an agent for change and a point of innovation and creativity. They should challenge at all times established practices and procedures and incorporate best practice from other sectors and competitors
* Build effective business cases for marketing developments i.e. campaigns / partnerships etc which demonstrate ROI for marketing spend
* Lead on high profile campaigns and strategic initiatives aimed at driving engagement from new and existing customers and maximising acquisition and retention whilst projecting key Energy Retail brand values and translating into values that align from a business perspective. This will involve collaborating with multi-discipline teams from across the business / external third party suppliers and external partnerships
* Assume responsibility for overall delivery from these partnerships in terms of KPI’s including value to our base and external perception of Scottish Power. The Senior Marketing Manager will also on occasion be required to report and present on Business Marketing activity within their remit to senior managers within Energy Retail, up to and including the Energy Retail senior management team
* Manage the full creative development process with external Marketing agencies, ensuring all internal stakeholders are managed effectively and appropriate sign off is secured for marketing activity. The Senior Marketing Manager is also expected to co-ordinate the overall performance management of external marketing agencies engaged to deliver activity across the marketing business team
* Develop and manage an integrated multi-channel contact strategy for business customers including regulatory communications, in life communications and a PR/Social plan to improve retention and drive additional value from the business base
* Optimise the efficiency and cost effectiveness of all marketing activity by implementing reporting and evaluation processes in conjunction with Customer Insight and external agencies where relevant
* Work closely with the Digital team to maximise the effective promotion of Scottish Power’s Business propositions within Acquisition and Retention Marketing Activity. Furthermore, to actively contribute to any online and digital discussions to ensure the wider requirements for Business are delivered adding value to our customer offering
* Gain a detailed understanding of competitor on and offline marketing strategies, in order to drive continuous improvement and ensure we have a compelling proposition for our business customers and prospects.
* Deputise for the Senior Manager – SME Marketing and represent the Team as a marketing expert to senior internal and external stakeholders as required
*** What you’ll bring
**** Educated to degree level or equivalent professional qualification
* Experience of leading cross business project teams
* Proven track record of delivery in Marketing essential
* Experience of running BTL Marketing Campaigns essential (incl. cross channel campaigns ie email, Direct Mail, telephony and Online strategies)
* Experience of managing external partnerships is essential
* Experience of communicating and influencing at a senior level
* Numerate and analytical
* PC Literate
