Product Technician | Glasgow | Permanent | £35k+Benefits

  • Generous company pension contributions (11%)
  • Private Medical Cover

Not every Technician role is hands-on. Some are parts swapping. Some are ticking boxes. Some are standing beside someone else doing the real work. This isn’t that. This is a business that designs and builds its own specialist equipment in Scotland and ships it to some of the world’s most recognisable brands across multiple sectors. It is established, profitable, world-class. And we need someone who can build, fix, improve, and occasionally jump on a plane to Europe to support customers face-to-face.

The Role

You will assemble complex mechanical and electrical equipment from the ground up. This involves not just bolting parts together but understanding how the entire system works.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and wire specialist machines
  • Fault find when something isn’t right
  • Carry out root cause analysis
  • Test and validate finished builds
  • Suggest process improvements
  • Join pre-booked European customer visits
  • Support audits, repairs and on-site training

You will work closely with engineering, production and customer teams.

Who This Suits An Experienced Technician
  • You’ve worked in mechanical and electrical assembly.
  • You can fault find confidently.
  • You don’t panic when something doesn’t power up the first time.
A Graduate or Early-Career Engineer
  • HNC or above.
  • Some experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Practical mindset.
  • Keen to learn.
Either Way, You’ll Need
  • Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge
  • Good fault-finding skills
  • Confidence working independently
  • A full UK driving licence
  • A valid passport (occasional European travel)
  • A mindset that questions why we do it that way
