Experienced Cutter

Overview

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Cutter to join our sewing and production team. You will play a key role in preparing materials for manufacturing by accurately cutting fabrics to specification. This role requires precision, strong attention to detail, and confidence working with a wide range of materials and cutting tools.

• Accurately measure, mark, and cut fabrics according to patterns, templates, and production requirements.
• Work with a wide range of fabric types, including light, medium, and heavy weights.
• Lay out and prepare fabric to minimise waste and ensure consistent quality.
• Use industrial cutting tools such as straight knives, band knives, or automated cutting systems (training can be provided).
• Label cut work correctly for production teams.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised cutting area.
• Carry out basic equipment checks and report any issues promptly.

• Previous experience in a cutting role within a sewing, textile, manufacturing, or upholstery environment (preferred).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions.
• Confident handling different fabric weights and behaviours.
• Good measuring skills and basic numeracy.
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
• Good organisational and time‑management skills.
