The RoleAs a Maintenance Engineer at Pulpex, you'll play a vital role in keeping their cutting‑edge manufacturing and production lines running efficiently and safely. You'll work hands‑on with mechanical and electrical systems, responding to breakdowns, carrying out preventative maintenance, and supporting ongoing improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on automated production and packaging machinery
- Diagnose faults and perform mechanical and electrical repairs to minimise downtime
- Support installation and commissioning of new equipment
- Drive continuous improvement and reliability initiatives across production lines
Collaborate closely with Production and Engineering teams to ensure targets are met safely and efficiently - Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure compliance with health & safety standards
We're looking for an adaptable, forward‑thinking engineer who enjoys variety, teamwork, and a challenge.
You’ll ideally have:
- Time‑served apprenticeship or Level 3 qualification in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical)
- Experience in FMCG, packaging, food, or manufacturing environments
- A proactive attitude towards maintenance and continuous improvement
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills
