A leading provider of innovative laser systems to help people in various global markets, including but not limited to renewables, microelectronics, research, life science, automotive, and medicine.

We are seeking a Production Planner who can take responsibility for creating and maintaining production plans that balance available manufacturing capacity with customer demand, alongside meeting S&OP requirements and maximizing inventory turns through JIT initiatives.

This role focuses on combining planning tasks with hands-on coordination in a collaborative environment, ensuring on-time delivery, scheduling of sales orders, work order release, shortage management, and packing/shipping coordination. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the ability to work confidently with changing requirements and show resilience when tackling challenging problems.

You will need to be a self-motivated individual with good time management and decision-making skills.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop, maintain, and adjust production schedules and capacity plans in line with S&OP and forecast requirements.
  • Monitor and address risks to on-time delivery through daily production meetings and shortage reviews.
  • Administer work orders, Kanban jobs, Schedule booked sales orders, and packing confirmations to meet shipping deadlines.
  • Run and analyse system reports using Business systems to ensure accuracy and support decision-making.
  • Coordinate packing, shipping, and offsite storage to meet operational timelines.
  • Maintain key KPIs and update planning data across monthly, quarterly, and annual cycles.
  • Attend cross-functional meetings (Production, Materials, R&D, PLM) to align plans with business priorities.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Understanding of MRP, forecasting, and scheduling.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Administration understanding and accuracy
Preferred Additional Skills
  • Strong data analysis and reporting skills to support operational decision-making.
  • Experience using Oracle and ERP reporting systems
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment would be an advantage.
