Purpose of Role

This is a chance to build something new at Weir—shaping how we grow talent, develop leaders and strengthen our culture across the business. Working closely with HR teams and leaders, you’ll focus on the things that really matter—talent, succession, performance, development, skills and change—so teams are set up to thrive and deliver on Weir’s strategy.

Track what’s working, use data to improve continuously, and ensure strong governance—providing clear insight and recommendations to senior leaders and committees while managing risk responsibly.
  • Safety First:
Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviours in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.
What you’ll bring
  • Deep OD expertise with real‑world impact - you’ll bring a strong background in organisational development—through a relevant degree or equivalent experience—and a proven track record delivering talent, leadership and OD solutions in a large, global, matrix organisation.
  • Strong foundations in learning and OD best practice - you understand how adults learn and how organisations change, with solid knowledge of OD theory, learning design and what genuinely works in practice.
  • Confident, inclusive leadership - you’re an experienced people leader who knows how to coach, develop and engage others, creating inclusive teams that deliver great work, in an agile way.
  • Credibility through coaching and assessment tools - experience with psychometrics (such as Insights Discovery) and/or a recognised coaching qualification is a bonus, adding depth to your impact with leaders and teams.
