Position: ESTATES AND FACILITIES MANAGER

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Estates and Facilities Manager to lead the effective management, maintenance and development of our school estate. This is a key leadership role, ensuring that our facilities provide a safe, well-maintained, and inspiring environment for pupils, staff and visitors.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the postholder will take strategic and operational responsibility for all estates, facilities and sustainability matters across the school’s estate ensuring they are managed in accordance with the School’s Health and Safety Policy and all relevant legislation. They are to act as the line manager for the School Janitors and Groundsmen.

Founded in 1878, Kelvinside Academy is an independent, HMC co‑educational day school for around 600 pupils aged from 3-18 in the West End of Glasgow. The school aims to bring out the best in every pupil, combining high standards of teaching and a superb extra‑curricular programme within an inclusive and caring ethos. A willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school is essential.
