Job Title:

Project  Management  Professional

Salary:  Up to £40,000 dependent on skills and experience

What you’ll be doing :

Assist the Project  Manager  in coordinating day‑to‑day project activities, ensuring tasks are completed on time and to the required standard.

Apply planning and scheduling knowledge to review and interrogate project activities, ensuring plans are realistic, integrated, and reflective of current progress.

Assist in the  management  of assigned cost accounts, helping to ensure delivery to agreed budget, schedule, and quality targets.

Coordinate and  control  project change, ensuring impacts are understood and recorded, while supporting continuous improvement across the programme and wider business.

Support the identification and  management  of project risks and opportunities, maintaining accurate records and contributing to effective mitigation and exploitation strategies.

Maintain a  strong  focus on milestone achievement, contract deliverables, and acceptance events, ensuring they are clearly tracked and  proactively   managed .

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

Experience working in a project environment, with a good understanding of project  management  tools, techniques, and practices, and the ability to apply these in routine situations while following guidance in more  complex  scenarios.

Strong   analytical  skills, with the ability to gather, interpret, and consolidate information to support sound judgement and  decision ‑making.

Effective communication and stakeholder‑management skills, with the ability to influence, build rapport, and convey information clearly and diplomatically.

Awareness of the project lifecycle, with an understanding of key stages, processes, and  controls  involved in delivering successful projects.

Experience with in a  complex  engineering / defence / manufacturing environment

Familiarity with project governance frameworks and reporting processes within a large or  complex  organisation
