Senior Procurement Officer (PR/007167)

Location: Glasgow – Hybrid, 3 days per week onsite

Salary: up to £46,400 + benefits

An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Procurement Officer to join a high‑performing supply chain function supporting a major complex engineering programme in Glasgow. This role sits within a procurement team responsible for managing procurement packs and subcontracts during the build and delivery phase of a nationally significant defence platform programme. You’ll take ownership of supplier performance and commercial delivery within your allocated category, ensuring equipment and materials are delivered to cost, quality and schedule.

• Managing supplier performance against contractual milestones
• Proactively identifying and mitigating supply chain risk
• Leading contract change negotiations and resolving performance‑related claims
• Driving cost savings, cost avoidance and robust financial control
• Supporting cost account reviews, KPI reporting and cross‑functional programme reviews
• Working closely with Engineering, Operations and Quality teams
• Managing Purchase Orders and contract activity via ERP systems

• Proven procurement and contract management experience
• Strong financial oversight and budget management capability
• Confident negotiator with the ability to influence stakeholders
• Experience operating within structured governance and reporting environments
• ERP system experience (SAP desirable)
• CIPS qualified or working towards (desirable)
