A nationally recognised, Top 50 firm, is growing its highly ranked Commercial Litigation team in Glasgow and is looking for an NQ to 3 years PQE Solicitor to join their busy and ever-growing practice.
Consistently recognised in the UK by Chambers and L500, the team is known for handling complex, high-profile and often sensitive disputes for an impressive client base spanning large corporates, insurers, public bodies, insolvency practitioners and private individuals.
Upon joining the firm, you’ll be immersed in high-quality contentious work, gaining hands-on experience across commercial litigation, debt recovery and insolvency matters.
From the start, you will work alongside highly experienced Partners and senior lawyers, where you will be supported as you build your technical expertise, take on increasing responsibility and develop your own caseload.
This is a role where you can truly grow, develop strong client relationships, sharpen your advocacy and become a key part of a thriving national Commercial Litigation practice.
The Work- Support senior lawyers on a wide range of commercial litigation matters
- Proactively manage debt recovery matters, including defended actions, enforcement and judgment recovery
- Handle contentious and non-contentious insolvency work, including winding-up and sequestration petitions
- Build and manage your own growing caseload with appropriate supervision
- Draft legal documents and carry out research and investigations
- Attend client meetings, conferences and represent clients in court where appropriate
- Maintain strong client relationships and act as a trusted point of contact
- Contribute to business development and profile-raising initiatives
- A genuine interest and passion for commercial litigation and insolvency work
- Strong technical and analytical ability with great attention to detail
- Ability to manage competing deadlines and a varied caseload
- Confident communicator with strong client-care skills
- Proactive, solution-focused and commercially aware approach
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a collaborative team
