Catastrophic Injury Associate - PQE - Defendant

Overview

This is a chance to step into a genuinely meaty Associate role within a busy, national and well-regarded Complex Injury practice that’s been on a consistent upward curve for years, based in Glasgow.

You’ll be right in the thick of large loss and catastrophic injury work, collaborating closely with senior lawyers on some of the most technically challenging claims around, while also running your own portfolio. Expect deep dives into liability, indemnity and complex medical evidence, plenty of intellectual stretch, and the satisfaction that comes from seeing high‑stakes cases through from instruction to resolution, all from a city that combines a strong legal market with a great quality of life.

You’ll work shoulder to shoulder with experienced claims handlers from long‑standing insurer clients, building trusted relationships and shaping strategy rather than just reacting to it.

The role is hands‑on and outward‑facing, with opportunities to attend site visits, mediations and settlement meetings, and to contribute to initiatives that raise the team’s profile across the wider legal market.

There’s also scope to mentor more junior colleagues as the team continues to grow, without losing sight of your own development, within a Glasgow team that’s clearly going places.
