Head of Compliance – Insurance Advisory & Consultancy

Location: UK (Hybrid / predominantly remote)

An established and growing consultancy specialising in regulatory compliance for the UK insurance sector is seeking an experienced Head of Compliance to join its leadership team. The business supports insurance intermediaries, MGAs and insurers with outsourced compliance, regulatory advice, audits and governance frameworks.

This is a senior strategic role suited to a compliance leader who not only brings strong regulatory expertise but also commercial awareness and the ability to generate new business within the insurance market
.

The organisation operates a highly flexible working model, with the majority of the team working remotely, and is experiencing continued growth across its advisory services.

As Head of Compliance
, you will play a key role in leading regulatory advisory services while supporting the commercial growth of the business.

Responsibilities will include:

• Leading the delivery of insurance compliance advisory services to regulated firms.
• Acting as a trusted advisor to insurance brokers, MGAs and other intermediaries on FCA regulatory requirements.
• Overseeing regulatory projects such as compliance monitoring, governance reviews, and cover holder audits

• Supporting clients with regulatory change, conduct risk frameworks and policy reviews
  .
• Managing and mentoring a team of compliance consultants.
• Working closely with the leadership team on strategic growth initiatives
  .
• Contributing to business development activities
  , including identifying opportunities, maintaining industry relationships and supporting new client wins.

A key element of the role is the ability to drive commercial growth
. The successful candidate will ideally:

• Bring an existing network within the insurance intermediary market
  , or
• Demonstrate a proven ability to generate new business and develop client relationships
  .

The business is particularly interested in individuals who are comfortable building a client portfolio, identifying advisory opportunities, and representing the firm in the market
.

We are looking for an individual with:

• Significant experience in general insurance compliance
  .
• Strong knowledge of FCA regulation affecting insurance intermediaries
  .
• Experience working with or advising brokers, MGAs, insurers or networks
  .
• A commercial mindset and interest in developing new business opportunities
  .
• Experience managing regulatory projects and working with senior stakeholders.
• Strong leadership, communication and relationship management skills.

Experience in consultancy or outsourced compliance environments would be particularly beneficial.
