Join Barclays as a Lead Full Stack Developer, responsible for leading high-performing engineering teams and coordinating with offshore delivery partners to ensure aligned priorities, predictable execution, and consistent outcomes. Drive the architecture and optimization of scalable client reporting platforms built on Spring Boot and modern technology stacks, delivering hundreds of thousands of reports daily with high performance and reliability. Accountable for service stability under strict SLAs, rapid production issue resolution, and continuous improvement through advanced monitoring, stakeholder collaboration, and strategic innovation.

This role is based in Glasgow.

• Team Leadership with Offshore Delivery Coordination
  - Proven experience leading and managing a high‑performing local technology team, with considerable capability to coordinate delivery with offshore leads and their respective teams. Demonstrated ability to align priorities, plans, and execution across locations through effective communication, dependency management, and governance, while maintaining clear accountability for local team outcomes, platform stability, and client commitments.
• Technical Expertise in Scalable Reporting Platforms:
  Bring deep experience with Spring Boot and Angular micro-frontends and modern design patterns and technology stacks to architect, build, and optimize high‑volume enterprise-grade client reporting systems that generate hundreds of thousands of reports daily with good performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Service Delivery & SLA‑Driven Production Support:
  Maintain platforms operating under strict SLAs, ensuring timely and accurate report delivery, and resolve production issues quickly and accurately through good incident‑management practices and technical expertise.

• Stakeholder Engagement & Change Leadership:
  Collaborate with diverse business and technology teams to turn reporting needs into practical solutions, guide change, manage expectations, and keep teams aligned for continuous improvement in a fast‑moving environment.
• Strategic Innovation & Communication:
  Shape the future of client reporting by driving innovation, applying modern best practices and AI‑enabled tools, and explaining complex technical ideas in clear, accessible language for all audiences.
• Advanced Metrics, Monitoring & Alerting:
  Implement and use advanced metrics, monitoring, and alerting systems to maintain real‑time visibility of platform health, support rapid incident response, and strengthen ongoing operational excellence.
