UX Designer Cardiff £40K £45K DOE Page 1 Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with a fast-growing, specialist comparison platform based in Cardiff. As the business continues to invest in its digital experience, our client is looking to appoint a UX Designer to strengthen their user-centred design capability and help shape intuitive, high-performing customer journeys. Youll be joining a supportive design function that values evidence-led decision making, thoughtful collaboration, and a healthy worklife balance. This is an experienced individual contributor role (IC2), offering end-to-end ownership of UX delivery across discovery, research, wire framing, prototyping, testing, and iteration with no line management responsibility. About You Solid, demonstrable experience working as a UX Designer beyond entry level Proven ability to own UX decisions end to end and clearly explain reasoning to stakeholders Strong understanding of user-centred design principles, usability, and accessibility Experience creating wireframes, prototypes, and user flows using tools such as Figma Comfortable using research, data, and testing insight to inform and validate design decisions Experience collaborating closely with Web Development, Content, SEO, and Marketing teams Bonus Points Experience working in product, tech, or performance-led environments Familiarity with analytics, CRO, or usability testing Exposure to HTML/CSS or strong awareness of implementation considerations Whats in it for you £40K £45K DOE Annual pay review Two paid weeks off over Christmas and New Year, plus annual leave Paid day off for your birthday and work anniversary (post-probation) Bupa private medical and dental cover (post-probation) Flexitime between 6am and 8pm, with no core hours Enhanced pension contribution Free city-centre parking £1,000 employee referral bonus Monthly takeaway Fridays, Employee of the Month awards, and regular team socials A collaborative environment with genuine ownership and autonomy Please note this is a fully onsite role, based in central Cardiff, five days per week.
