Role PurposeThe ITO Business Analyst plays a critical role in supporting primarily the strategic delivery of M&A integrations and transformation transitions across the Group. The role is responsible for analysing, mapping and resolving operational, technological, financial and brand challenges to ensure each programme is planned, sequenced and executed effectively. This role acts as the analytical engine behind integration & transition planning – providing clarity on current and future state, identifying dependencies and risks, and ensuring that activities deliver tangible business outcomes.
The postholder also contributes to the ongoing development and evolution of the Integrations Playbook, embedding best practice and driving consistency across all integrations.
- Lead analysis of inputs, data and processes to inform sequencing, planning and risk mitigation.
- Support the Head of Value Realisation to ensure transition activities are built on deep insight and are supported by appropriate insight.
- Support the Integrations Director and Integrations Programme Managers in developing detailed integration plans aligned to strategic and operational objectives.
- Work with workstream leads (Operations, Finance, Technology, People, Brand, etc.) to understand current state, future state and gaps requiring resolution.
- Build and maintain dashboards, trackers and analytical tools to monitor progress, dependencies and value realisation across integration programmes.
- Develop clear documentation including process maps, business requirements, impact assessments and decision logs.
- Identify and communicate interdependencies across work streams, escalating issues and providing data‑driven recommendations to aid decision‑making.
- Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of the Integrations Playbook, ensuring lessons learned and best practices are captured and embedded.
- Support governance and reporting activity – preparing updates for the Integration & Transformation Office, Opex Group, Steering Committee and key stakeholders.
- Champion data integrity, consistency and traceability across artefacts, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Drive collaboration and transparency across cross‑functional teams, acting as a trusted liaison between business, technical and programme delivery stakeholders.
- Strong background as a Business Analyst within transformation, integration, or complex organisational change environments.
- Demonstrable experience in analysing and resolving cross‑functional challenges across operations, technology, brand or finance domains.
- Highly proficient in using analytical and visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI, Excel, Miro, Lucidchart, MS Project, or equivalent).
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data and dependencies into clear insights and actions.
- Skilled in process mapping, requirements gathering, gap analysis, and documentation of business and technical needs.
- Comfortable working with complex, incomplete or ambiguous data and turning it into structured, actionable intelligence.
- Experience supporting M&A or post‑deal integration programmes highly desirable.
- Collaborative, delivery‑focused and adaptable – able to thrive in a fast‑paced, multi‑project environment.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Teams, and project and portfolio management tools.
