We are looking for a Delivery Lead Scrum Master based in Glasgow, UK to lead our Data Engineering team and drive the successful delivery of data-intensive projects. You will be responsible for leading agile teams, ensuring smooth project execution, and fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.

As a Delivery Lead Scrum Master for our Data Engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in driving successful delivery of data-intensive projects. You will be responsible for leading agile teams, ensuring smooth project execution, and fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.

• Work closely with the Data Product Owner; lead and coach agile teams including data engineers, designers, and analysts. Facilitate agile ceremonies like sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Remove impediments and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Project Management:
  Define project scope, goals, and timelines. Track project progress and identify potential risks and issues. Develop and manage project plans, including resource allocation and budget tracking.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment on project objectives.

• Understanding of data engineering principles, including data modelling, ETL, ELT processes, and data warehousing.
• Understanding of Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Synapse, and Azure Stream Analytics is a plus. Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in the data engineering field, including cloud-native data platforms and data fabric concepts.
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure efficient and effective solutions.
• Team collaboration:
  Foster a positive and collaborative team culture. Encourage open communication and knowledge sharing. Resolve conflicts and build strong relationships with team members.
• Quality Assurance:
  Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices. Conduct code reviews and perform quality assurance checks.
• Implement effective testing strategies to identify and fix defects.

• Proven experience as a Scrum Master or Delivery Lead in a data engineering or software development environment.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
• Proficiency in project management tools like Jira, Azure Dev Ops, or similar.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Understanding of Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure Stream Analytics is a plus.
• Certification in Scrum or Agile methodologies is a plus.
