Join Barclays as a Lead Dev Ops Engineer, where you’ll be responsible for driving Dev Ops transformation across all squads — ensuring engineering excellence, platform standardization, and compliance with modern development practices. This role is highly technical and hands‑on, requiring deep expertise in AWS and automation.
To Be Successful, You Should Have- Lead CI/CD Transformation:
Guide teams through the three‑phase pipeline adoption journey — build, deployment, and production release — ideally using Git Lab. Promote trunk‑based development, high test coverage, and quality gates across teams with varying levels of readiness. - AWS Expertise:
Hands‑on experience with key AWS services including S3, EC2, ECS, ECR, VPC, IAM, Lambda, Dynamo
DB, Cloud Front, Glue, and Step Functions. - Application Modernisation:
Ensure evergreen pipelines with integrated vulnerability verification, estate management, and cyber checks as part of release pipelines. Manage areas where compliance is not achieved and ensure visibility of progress.
- Hands‑on experience with data tooling and ETL platforms such as Databricks, AWS Glue, Starburst, and Redshift.
- Strong background in test automation and reducing manual testing effort.
- Familiarity with a broad technology stack, including Python.
