Glasgow / West Coast | Hybrid - Home & Office/Client-Facing

Ideally looking for a short notice or immediate start

Are you a commercially minded HR professional who enjoys variety, autonomy, and being close to the action?

This is an exciting opportunity to join a small, successful and growing HR consultancy working closely with SME and mid‑sized clients across Scotland. You’ll partner directly with business owners and senior leaders, delivering practical, hands‑on HR support that genuinely makes a difference.

This role is ideal for an experienced HR Generalist or HR Consultant who thrives in fast‑paced environments, enjoys building strong client relationships, and wants to be trusted to get on with the job.

The Role

As an HR Consultant, you’ll take ownership of a portfolio of clients, acting as their trusted HR partner.

Your work will be varied, commercial, and hands‑on, including:

  • Providing pragmatic HR advice across the full generalist remit, including disciplinary, grievance, absence, performance, redundancies, restructures and ER matters
  • Supporting and leading projects such as restructures, TUPE, job design and salary benchmarking
  • Coaching and advising SME leaders and managers, balancing risk, cost, and culture
  • Building long‑term client relationships across sectors such as professional services, manufacturing, and FMCG
  • Managing your own workload and priorities with autonomy and accountability
  • Working flexibly between home, office, and client sites

This is not a policy‑heavy or purely advisory role; it’s about rolling your sleeves up and helping businesses move forward in the best way suited to each customer’s needs.

What We’re Looking For

You’ll be a great fit if you:

  • Have proven private sector, SMEs or consultancy experience within the UK
  • Are commercially minded, pragmatic, and confident in making judgement calls
  • Enjoy autonomy and can manage ambiguity without needing close supervision
  • Are a natural relationship builder with good energy and credibility
  • Are ambitious, proactive, and see consultancy as a long‑term career path
  • Enjoy variety, pace, and being out with clients
  • Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to your own car, and are happy to travel to client sites
Why Join?

You’ll work directly with a highly experienced and supportive CEO
, within a small, close‑knit team that genuinely wants each other to succeed. There’s no hierarchy for the sake of it, no micromanagement, and no ego – just a collaborative environment where good work is recognised, and people are trusted to deliver. Oh, and having fun while you’re at it goes a long way 😉

If you’re looking for a role where you can own your work, build real relationships, and grow with the business, we’d love to hear from you. This one has a super quick turnaround, so apply now or email kels for more details.
