We’re seeking an HR project specialist who has experience in project delivery (end to end) to join our People team here at AXA on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. We're on a journey to drive our People strategy and agenda by coaching and challenging our leaders in their thinking and ways of working. This is a great opportunity for an HR Project Consultant looking for their next step, to facilitate the successful delivery of projects that support and drive transformation set out in strategic People plans.

Working closely with the Strategic People Partners and stakeholders, you’ll conduct research, collect and analyze data to identify issues, provide advice, and work with the team to develop and implement innovative and pragmatic solutions. You’ll use your experience of project management and data insights to solve business problems that have measurable impact and add commercial value. The scope of projects ranges from organisational design review and restructures, culture, TUPE, etc.

At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Work alongside Strategic People Partners, People Projects and the Transformation Lead to scope and manage project delivery.
  • Support, design and deliver People projects and innovative solutions to ensure continuous improvement and value add to the business and our customers.
  • Responsible for effective project controls and procedures within given initiatives.
  • Develop and sustain collaborative working relationships across the organisation, produce and deliver presentation packs and business cases for key stakeholders to support projects.
  • Provide regular feedback on progress, milestones and blockers for the Strategic Partners, People Projects, Transformation Lead and key stakeholders so they’re fully engaged in outcomes and progression of projects.
  • Deliver project communications such as training managers on delivery of communications for change related initiatives, ensuring quality and consistency of messaging.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on People policies, processes and procedures relating to project delivery.
  • Analyse and report on HR management and MI, providing solutions and strategies so metrics are being met, and shortfalls are addressed (e.g. turnover, headcount, discipline and grievance, performance management, absence, reward).

What you’ll bring:
  • Excellent knowledge and working experience of managing change or transformation projects specifically in organisation design.
  • Familiar with project management methodologies, prioritising and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience in working with data together with the ability to analyse information, identify trends, link findings to business priorities, and develop actionable recommendations.
  • Effective stakeholder management skills, excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Well organised, pragmatic and calm in time pressured situations.
  • Ability to influence managers at a senior level and employees at all levels.
  • Proficient in handling sensitive situations while ensuring confidentiality.
  • Up to date knowledge of employee legislation and its implications for the business experience.
