Salary: £17.50 per hour + paid mileage (full driving license with your own vehicle is essential)

Hours: 40 hours per week (8:30am5pm, including weekends)

Location: Covering 15 care homes across Ayr, Glasgow, Inverclyde, Forth Valley, Fife & Edinburgh

As a Peripatetic Chef
, you’ll travel across our care homes, supporting teams to deliver nutritious, high‑quality meals that make residents feel valued and cared for. Every day is different – you’ll plan menus, cater for specialist diets, and lead teams to uphold the highest standards in food safety and hospitality.

• £36,400 per year + mileage
• 30 days annual leave (pro rata)

• SVQ level 2 or above/equivalent in Professional Cookery.
• Food Safety/Hygiene Qualification at Level 3/Intermediate or above.
• Experience in kitchen management including COSHH and HACCP policies.
• Minimum 4 years experience professional cooking (Care Home setting preferred).
