The RoleResponsible for the supervision, training and direction of Supervisors and domestic/Hostess staff ensuring a quality cleaning service is maintained for user safety and comfort following agreed methods, procedures and specifications.
Duration, Location, and Working Pattern- Full time (37 hours per week)
- Based in Glasgow Royal Infirmary Hospital
- Shift pattern: 11:00am to 19:00pm - Monday to Friday
- Supervision and direction of supervisors and domestic staff, making regular visits to premises throughout their area of responsibility.
- Allocation of schedules of work, checking work schedules and making temporary adjustments as may be required to meet needs of the service on a daily basis whilst ensuring financial expenditure does not exceed allocated budget.
- Economic and safe use of cleaning agents, following manufacturers recommended instructions.
- Care and use of mechanical cleaning equipment.
- Wear protective clothing as supplied by the Department.
- Disposal of waste in accordance with relevant Policy.
- Supervise and ensure sufficient supplies for ward food service and ensure all CPI record sheets are completed, collated and signed off as per local policy.
- Monitor that cleaning agents and equipment are stored correctly. Order cleaning agents for distribution.
- Senior Supervisor training (training provided) with minimum of three years as a Domestic and two years as a Supervisor required.
- Knowledge of all aspects of Domestic Service as in job purpose (Induction Training provided).
- Training in the use of all machinery used (training provided e.g. Working Safely IOSHH).
- Knowledge of Health & Safety (training provided).
- Knowledge of COSHH (training provided).
