Position: Waiting List Coordinator Dietetic Service

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non‑clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

Shift Pattern – 5 over 7.

As from 1st April 2026, the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part‑time hours will be reduced pro‑rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.

Outpatient Waiting List Coordinator – Dietetic Service – the role is fast‑paced, working closely with dietitians, supporting patient care and managing waiting lists across several specialities and hospital locations.

Responsibilities
  • Manage out‑patient waiting lists and appointments across multiple specialities and hospital locations.
  • Collate and report on waiting times and clinical activity to the Waiting List Manager.
  • Work collaboratively with the Dietetic Waiting List Manager to identify, implement and evaluate new ways of working to improve waiting times and patient access.
  • Report directly to the Waiting List Manager for Dietetics and liaise daily with Dietetic Clinical Team Leads to ensure an efficient, patient‑centred service delivery.
  • Support administration tasks associated with the waiting list management.
