Overview

Care Assistant Required – Alzheimer’s Care – Newlands (G43). We are seeking two reliable, kind care assistants to support a lady with Alzheimer’s in her own home in Newlands (postcode area G43). She is friendly and chatty, but can be resistant around personal care, so experience with dementia and a calm, confident approach are essential.

• Provide personal care and assistance with mobility due to arthritis.
• Meal preparation and prompting, along with general daily support.
• Assist with moving safely around the home and to the bathroom.
• Support with day-to-day activities and ensure a safe, comfortable living environment.
• Core visits include lunchtime support seven days per week and a short evening tuck-in visit each day, with some additional morning and teatime cover as required.
• Flexibility to work as part of a small team and occasionally cover colleagues.

• Drivers with access to their own car.
• Experience with dementia and a calm, confident approach to personal care.
• Good communication, reliability and a positive attitude.

• Hours:
  
  approximately 30 to 35 hours per week in total across two positions.
• Pay: £16.00 per hour.

• Arrangement: family-run with one established carer already in place.
