We are currently recruiting for a new team member to support 8 individuals in their own homes in the Parkhead area of Glasgow. We support individuals from the ages of 40 to 69 with a wide variety of complex health needs, including epilepsy, visual impairments and diabetes to ensure they live the best lives possible. For most of the people we support, this includes full moving and positioning support, meals, accessing the community, medication and personal care.

In the past, the people we support have faced a lot of challenges but this hasn’t stopped them from enjoying life! They enjoy some of the same activities as each other, such as parties, arts and crafts, attending community events, shopping and going out to eat. However, they also enjoy their own individual activities, including listening to music and attending chapel and would love people with similar interests to support them.

To ensure the people we support have freedom to do the activities they enjoy, our shifts start at 7am and finish  support these individuals 7 days a week, so require flexibility to work some weekends, waking nights and days on a rota basis. A UK driving licence is also advantageous for access to service vehicles.

Responsibilities
  • Spend your whole shift with the person you support, making the biggest impact on their lives
  • Support 8 individuals in their own homes with activities of daily living
  • Provide full moving and positioning support, meals, community access, medication and personal care
  • Work to a rota that includes weekends, waking nights and days
  • Follow care plans and maintain high standards of safety and wellbeing
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Experience in health and social care or a genuine interest in supporting others
  • A UK driving licence is advantageous for access to service vehicles
  • Flexibility to work some weekends, waking nights and days on a rota
