Overview
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
The shift pattern for this post is Monday to Friday.
PositionAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Contracts Administrator to join our small, specialist and hardworking team. This post is for 37 hrs (full-time) per week on a permanent basis. We are looking for candidates who are proactive and enthusiastic to join our team. You should be able to work in a busy environment, sometimes under pressure. The ability to organise, prioritise, problem solve, and focus are important.
You will need to be a people person with strong listening skills with the ability to understand and consider the needs of others.
- Provide support to 284 community pharmacies across Greater Glasgow & Clyde.
- Work in a busy environment, sometimes under pressure; organise, prioritise, problem solve, and stay focused.
- Collaborate effectively within a team and support administration staff where required.
- SVQ Level III in Administration or demonstrable experience.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages.
- Experience of working in an NHS environment with an understanding/experience of NHS networks is essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively and efficiently as part of a team with recent experience of supervision of an administration staff group.
- Ability to work unsupervised and use own initiative; ability to work to challenging timescales by organising and prioritising workload and adapting to change and last-minute demands.

Additional InformationFrom 1 April 2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will reduce from 37 hours to 36 hours. Part-time working hours will be reduced on a pro-rata basis. A corresponding increase in the hourly rate will apply, ensuring that overall pay remains unchanged.
