This is a full-time on-site Theatre Practitioner role based in Glasgow. Responsibilities include assisting in the preparation and maintenance of surgical theatres, supporting ophthalmic consultants during procedures, and monitoring patient care throughout surgeries. The role also involves ensuring adherence to clinical standards and protocols, maintaining sterilisation and safety measures, and providing high-quality patient care in a professional and compassionate manner. Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team will be an essential part of daily responsibilities.

• Proficiency in assisting with surgical procedures, aseptic techniques, and post-operative care
• Strong organisational, time management, and attention-to-detail skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary medical team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and colleagues
• Up-to-date qualification in nursing or operating department practice (ODP), with registration in relevant professional bodies
• An understanding of ophthalmology is advantageous but not essential
• Commitment to delivering a high standard of patient care
