Position Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Contracts Administrator to join our small, specialist and hardworking team. Provide support to 284 community pharmacies across Greater Glasgow & Clyde. This post is for 37 hrs (f/t) per week on a permanent basis. We are looking for candidates who are proactive and enthusiastic to join our team. You should be able to work in a busy environment, sometimes under pressure.

The ability to organise, prioritise, problem solve, and focus are important.

Key Responsibilities and Skills
  • You will need to be a people person with strong listening skills and the ability to understand and consider the needs of others.
  • Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:
    You should possess an SVQ Level III in Administration or demonstrable experience.
  • You will have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages.
  • Experience of working in an NHS environment with an understanding/experience of NHS networks is essential.
  • You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to work effectively and efficiently as part of a team with recent experience of supervision of an administration staff group.
  • Ability to work unsupervised whilst using your own initiative is essential as is being able to work to challenging timescales by organising and prioritising your workload and having the flexibility to adapt to change and last minute demands.

Working Hours and Pay

From 1 April 2026, the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will reduce from 37 hours to 36 hours. Part‑time working hours will be reduced on a pro‑rata basis. A corresponding increase in the hourly rate will apply, ensuring that overall pay remains unchanged.
