7) Agency Role via Trident Healthcare Solutions – NHS Laboratories We are recruiting multiple Biomedical Scientists to join our team across Worthing and Brighton within Blood Sciences . These positions are available at Band 6 and Band 7 , offering exciting opportunities to work in a dynamic environment across UHS laboratories (RSCH, PRH, WH, SRH). Positions Available Band 6 – Biochemistry (Blood Sciences)
Shift Pattern:
Full 24/7 rota (including nights & weekends) Requirements:
Experienced Biochemist Hands-on experience with Abbott Alinity systems , AlinIQ , and Roche analysers Familiarity with Winpath LIMS , AMS , and middleware systems Ability to set up, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment Band 7 – Blood Sciences (Blood Transfusion)
Shift Pattern:
Monday–Friday, 09:00–17:00 Responsibilities:
All Blood Transfusion testing Use of Ortho Vision analysers Crossmatching red cells, issuing components/products Compliance with UKAS , BSQR , and Quality Management Systems
Experience with Winpath LIMS and Blood 360 vein-to-vein tracking Band 7 – Haematology Responsibilities:
Haematology and Blood Transfusion investigations Training junior Biomedical Scientists for 24/7 shift coverage
Experience with Abbott , Sysmex , Stago , Werfen , and Ortho Vision analysers Band 6 or 7 – Multi-Discipline Biomedical Scientist Requirements:
Training Officer experience desirable Chemistry automation (Roche/Abbott analyser experience) Special Chemistry (Toxicology, Mass Spec, HPLC, Electrophoresis) Haematology & Blood Transfusion experience Familiarity with Winpath IT and Qpulse Shift Pattern:
Initially Mon–Fri (09:00–18:00), then transition to lates/nights/weekends 37.5 hours per week
