This is a full time post (37) working 5/7 including weekend working. Glasgow is a vibrant city bursting with character and personality where you will find world famous visitor attractions, a contemporary food and drink scene and a legendary nightlife.
Role and TeamWithin South Sector the AHP teams work together supporting each other to ensure we produce high quality care for our patients. An exciting opportunity has arisen for Band 6 occupational therapists to join the Surgical, Vascular and Critical Care Service team on a permanent basis. Full and part time hours are available.
ResponsibilitiesThis post involves a complex and varied caseload incorporating patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment and discharge planning. You will be clinically responsible for rotational staff, support worker staff and students, inducting, training and managing staff on a daily basis. You will lead in service development and service change within the team. You will be actively encouraged to develop through your 4 pillars of practice while participating in CPD, audit and research.
These posts require the post holder to participate in seven day working/extended hours working.
Qualifications and ExperienceEssential: educated to Diploma/Degree level in occupational therapy while being registered with HCPC. You should have significant post graduate experience with previous clinical experience in an Acute Surgical/Vascular setting.

As from 1st April 2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
