2 x Personal Assistants for R

R is a bright, funny and energetic individual who is looking for a personal assistant to help him live life to the fullest. He’s a determined entrepreneur in the making and excited to find someone who matches his energy and enthusiasm. R is a manual wheelchair user with cerebral palsy and uses a communication aid.

Together, you could be attending R’s activities in the car and helping him to participate with his friends. On other days, you could also be going out for food together as well as helping R with his physio exercises. R loves staying active by doing frame running, swimming, going to the gym and doing exercises at home, and you will be required to support him with these activities which is why it’s essential that you have a lot of energy yourself.

The ideal match would be someone with experience but who is still willing to learn from R himself, as he’s a unique individual with his own ways of communicating. Someone who shares his interest in music and sports and is adventurous would also be desirable.

This role takes place in Robroyston, so being nearby or having access to transport would be helpful. You will be required to take public transport with R to take him to his activities, however someone with a clean license and a car is desirable. Some manual handling and personal care are involved depending on R’s needs. There will be 2 positions available for approximately 14 and 15 hours per week with an hourly rate of £13.60.
