Overview

The Salvation Army provides support and emergency accommodation for homeless adults within the Glasgow Area. We are looking to recruit highly motivated Support Workers to join our team in Wallace of Campsie House Lifehouse comprising of 42 flats and 10 bedsits.

Role: Support Worker

Employer: The Salvation Army UK and Ireland Territory

Working hours: 35 hours per week

• Deliver a high-quality support service which promotes client choice and control and helps clients learn new skills, make positive life choices and achieve the best possible outcomes.
• Complete day-to-day activities including administration tasks and reception duties to support the successful operation of the Lifehouse.
• Work with the wider staff team to share skills and expertise and engage with homeless clients.

• Motivation towards supporting vulnerable clients to achieve focused and positive life outcomes
• Ability to demonstrate initiative and problem solving to benefit colleagues and clients
• Good customer service and time management skills with the ability to prioritise workload
• Good verbal and written communication skills
