Opportunity Overview: A fantastic opportunity has risen to temporarily join my client as an Operations Analyst – Desk Assistant. My client is a leading global financial services firm providing a wide range of investment banking, securities, investment management and wealth management services. The Firm's employees serve clients worldwide including corporations, governments, and individuals from more than 1,200 offices in 43 countries.

Role Objective: My client is seeking someone to join the team as a Prime Brokerage Desk Assistant in ISG Equity Operations to support the Prime Brokerage Business in delivering quality service to both internal and external clients. In the Operations division, we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions, devise and implement effective controls and develop client relationships.

This is an Associate level position within the Product Support & Services division where we provide transaction support and manage post execution processes; these roles may be in a business aligned team or as across-product function and may require deep product or business specific expertise. While this may include client facing support, primary responsibilities are transaction-based.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process management of various client related functions such as trade amendments, client queries and reporting within specified timescales.
  • Recognize risk in day-to-day processes to draw out the key issues and contribute to process improvements.
  • Build relationships within team and internal stakeholders, sharing knowledge to contribute to team output.
  • Participate in projects and initiatives, aiding in solution formulation with a focus on timely execution.
  • Requirements:
  • Experience and knowledge of Client Servicing.
  • A background in Financial Services within Operations beneficial.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage and prioritise workload and work to deadlines.
  • An understanding of risk management and escalation.
  • High levels of accuracy and numeracy.
  • The utilization of analytical and investigative skills to a successful conclusion.
  • Proactive & flexible team player.
  • The ability to establish and build effective working relationships with local and global colleagues.
  • Skills desired - Knowledge of the full Trade flow from Execution to settlement for the market & the client.
  • Experience preparing team procedures and assessing/implementing team controls.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Proven track record of successful project implementation.
