The RoleAs a Trainee Law Accountant at Jones Whyte, you will work within our growing Finance team and report to our Law Accountant. Assisting with the maintenance of the accounts workflow you will also be involved in drafting and negotiating judicial accounts of expenses for a diverse range of cases.
This role demands strong analytical, communication, and organisational skills and is ideal for a candidate who is eager to expand and advance their knowledge. Full training will be provided with further opportunities for growth and development. The successful candidate will be supported through obtaining their SOLASqualification.
Upon completion of foundational training, you will have the opportunity to benefit from hybrid working.
Key Responsibilities- Accurate daily input of information into the accounts workflow system
- Ensuring timely payment of judicial accounts
- Drafting accounts of expenses
- Assessing and negotiating accounts of expenses
- Obtaining a SOLAS Diploma
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Accurate numeracy skills and the ability to work with large amounts of data
- Capability to effectively complete tasks to a high level within established time frames
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel
