Our team combines institutional finance experience (Lazard, Partners Group) with machine learning and applied AI research. Operating across London and San Francisco, we collaborate with leading AI labs to improve how models reason, generalize, and make decisions in high-stakes financial contexts.

AI is rapidly becoming embedded into core investment workflows, ranging from screening, diligence, underwriting, portfolio management, and exit analysis. This residency is designed for private equity and growth equity professionals who want early, practical exposure to how advanced AI systems are built, evaluated, and improved. You will:

• Assess model outputs:
  Review AI-generated financial analyses and identify where the reasoning breaks down: for example bad assumptions, flawed logic, or conclusions that no experienced investor would reach.
• Translate investment judgment into test cases:
  Turn the thinking that's hard to write down into structured problems that actually challenge the model.
• Build real benchmarks:
  Create financial models, returns analyses and investment cases grounded in how private markets actually work.
• Compare human and AI reasoning:
  Document where professional judgment and model outputs diverge, and why.

• You will be among the first investment professionals to work directly on how frontier AI models reason about private markets.
• A distinctive profile for anyone who wants to sit at the intersection of investing and AI, whether at a fund, an AI company, or building something themselves.
• Hands‑on exposure to how rapidly AI is reshaping deal workflows, from screening and diligence to portfolio monitoring and exit preparation.

• 3 to 7 years of experience in PE or Growth Equity at a renowned large‑cap or upper‑middle market fund in Europe or the US
• Associate, VP, or Principal level; industry agnostic.
• Strong modeling and valuation skills with experience across the full deal lifecycle.
• Genuine intellectual curiosity about application of AI in finance
