You’ll be someone who can work pro-actively, managing your own tasks, but you’ll also be confident collaborating with others, communicating regularly with senior managers, Directors, and BDO’s Partners to enable us to serve our clients effectively. Overview Our Risk Advisory Services (RAS) team helps organisations understand, manage and respond to risk in an increasingly complex and fastmoving environment.

We work with a diverse portfolio of clients across the commercial and not-for-profit sectors, providing assurance and advisory support that strengthens governance, enhances controls and drives better decision-making. As part of the team, you’ll work on a wide range of internal audit, risk and advisory engagements, gaining exposure to different industries, business models and operating environments. You’ll collaborate closely with colleagues across the firm, applying innovative approaches, data analytics and professional judgement to deliver insights that add real value for our clients.

As a Senior Executive within RAS, you will play an important role in delivering high‑quality internal audit, assurance and advisory services to our Public Sector clients. You will work as a senior member of engagement teams, taking responsibility for defined areas of delivery while collaborating closely with Managers, Senior Managers, Directors and Partners. You will be hands‑on in the execution of engagements, building strong technical capability, developing professional judgement, and supporting the effective delivery of engagements.

Alongside this, you will act as a role model for junior team members, helping to build a high‑performing and collaborative team environment. You’ll be someone with An inquisitive and proactive mindset, with the confidence to challenge constructively, think critically about risks and controls, and contribute ideas that enhance audit quality and ways of working. A recognised professional qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIA, CMIIA/MIIA, CCAB or equivalent), with relevant experience in risk management, internal audit and systems / controls testing.

Awareness of compliance, legislative and wider market issues relevant to client organisations, and the ability to consider these when identifying risks and audit findings. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to evaluate evidence, interpret data and support clear, well‑reasoned conclusions. Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to engage professionally with clients and colleagues and to explain issues clearly.
