Finance Manager

Anderson Knight are delighted to once be partnering with one of our valued clients to assist in recruiting for a Finance Manager based in Glasgow.

Our client is respected across the UK and operates within a highly regulated and buoyant market. The Finance Manager will play a key role, working closely with senior leadership helping effectively drive the business through a period of signification investment and growth.

The key duties and responsibilities will include:

• Take ownership of preparing monthly management accounts to support strategic business decisions.

• Assist with the preparation and ongoing updates of financial forecasts, highlighting key trends and variances.

• Maintain full responsibility for the balance sheet up to the trial balance stage.

• Provide reliable support to the management team by maintaining sufficient knowledge to act in the Financial Controllers absence.

• Support and mentor the accounting team, including conducting quarterly performance reviews and providing necessary training.

• Oversee sales and purchase ledger operations, ensuring timely escalation of any issues to senior management.

• Coordinate the preparation of year-end and audit documentation, acting as the main point of contact for auditors.

• Prepare quarterly VAT returns for review.

• Ensure end-to-end responsibility for the monthly management accounts process.

• Lead monthly financial review meetings with the on-site Management Team.

• Address and resolve departmental financial issues promptly, escalating to the Financial Controller when necessary.

The main candidate will be fully qualified financial professional (ACCA, CA, CIMA) who can demonstrate.

To be considered for this role, we are seeking a candidate:

• Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, ICAS).

• Practical knowledge of IFRS.

• Demonstratable experience in leading teams small teams.

• Able to handle multiple deadlines without compromise of delivery.

• Proven experience working to strict regulations.

You will be experienced working with non-financial stakeholders, providing detailed financial data to drive strategic, solution based decision making.
