Private Client Tax Manager

The Opportunity

We are recruiting an exciting opportunity for an experienced Private Client Tax Manager to join the growing Private Client Tax team. This role is suitable for candidates based anywhere in Scotland

This is a hybrid role encompassing both compliance and advisory responsibilities. The successful candidate will work with a diverse client base, including high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs, and international private clients. Experience in international private client tax and/or trust advisory work is desirable, though not essential.

You'll work closely with a team of experienced professionals across multiple locations and will be encouraged to take initiative, lead client relationships, and contribute to the continuous development of both client service and internal processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a personal portfolio of private clients, ensuring timely and accurate compliance with all tax obligations
• Review work prepared by other team members, including support for international private client engagements
• Identify and deliver ad-hoc advisory opportunities, including cross-functional collaboration with other service lines
• Oversee internal processes related to client data gathering, tax return preparation, and submission
• Communicate with clients via digital platforms, email, telephone, and written correspondence
• Foster strong client relationships and deliver a consistently high standard of service
• Participate in business development initiatives to grow the client base and enhance service offerings
• Oversee fee management and billing processes for your client portfolio
• Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing compliance efficiency and workflow

The Person

• Part-qualified or fully qualified (CTA, ATT, ACCA, CA, or equivalent), or qualified by experience
• Demonstrable experience in Private Client Tax compliance, ideally with an international focus
• Familiarity with personal taxation issues for individuals, with additional experience in trusts or partnerships preferred
• Proven ability to manage and develop a team
• Strong advisory background is advantageous
• Proactive, adaptable, and confident working both independently and as part of a team
