Legal Cashier

Position: Legal Cashier (Permanent)
Anderson Knight are delighted to be working with a rapidly growing legal firm in Glasgow to recruit an experienced Legal Cashier. Key Responsibilities:

* Process client and office account transactions in compliance with SRA Accounts Rules

* Maintain accurate records of receipts, payments, and bank reconciliations

* Prepare and post daily banking entries and ensure timely processing of payments

* Assist with the preparation of month-end and year-end financial reports

* Manage and reconcile client ledgers and disbursements

* Ensure compliance with anti-money laundering (AML) regulations

* Respond to financial queries from clients and internal teams

* Assist with payroll processing and other ad hoc finance duties as required

* Liaise with internal teams to provide support for billing and payment queries

Key Requirements:

* Previous experience as a Legal Cashier within a law firm or legal environment

* Strong knowledge of SRA Accounts Rules and legal cashiering processes

* Experience with legal accounting software (e.g. Aderant, Elite, or similar)

* Proficiency in Excel and other office software

* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

* Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team

* A proactive and adaptable attitude with a strong desire to learn and grow
