Management Reporting Accountant

Meraki Talent are thrilled to supporting our long-standing Glasgow based client to recruit the position of Management Reporting Accountant. The role will take the lead in the delivery of legal entity control, governance and management reporting for multiple entities for this Group. This is a hybrid role with excellent flexible working and a base at their Glasgow office.

This is a relatively new function that supports the Groups property portfolio. As the teams portfolio of assets continue to grow, their will be a need to contribute to improving the control framework, whilst making automation improvements.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a new or recently qualified Accountant who can demonstrate sound management accounting and understanding of financial control.

Core responsibilities:

• Financial Control and Reporting
• Monthly management accounts and reconciliation of entity ledgers
• Annual financial statement preparation and review
• Assist Group Finance with external audit
• Partner with key functions i.e. other finance, commercial, operations and change teams
• Project involvement - currently new system implementation

Background of the Management Reporting Accountant:

• Experience with large service sector, possibly property, real estate or financial service
• Qualified Accountant (CA, ACCA or CIMA)
• Solid understanding of the reporting and control environment and 'hands on' with month-end processes i.e. journals.
• Experience of working with ERP systems, possibly Netsuite
• VAT experience maybe advantageous
