Financial Manager
European Regional Finance Controller | Industrial Manufacturing | Glasgow
We’re supporting a multinational organization operating across multiple European countries in their search for an experienced European Regional Finance Controller
. This is a senior, hands‑on finance leadership role with responsibility for regional accounting, compliance, reporting, and team management across Europe and selected international operations.
The role works closely with regional business units and plays a key part in strengthening financial controls, improving processes, and ensuring accurate, timely reporting across a complex, multi‑country environment.
Key Responsibilities- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in line with IFRS and local GAAP
- Consolidate financial results across multiple European entities, providing clear variance analysis
- Maintain and enhance internal controls and ensure compliance with local regulations
- Coordinate internal and external audits, tax processes, and statutory reporting
- Oversee VAT, ECSL, and Intrastat reporting across Europe
- Manage and optimize financial processes using Workday Accounting
- Review and negotiate supplier contracts in collaboration with department leaders
- Lead, mentor, and develop a small regional finance team
- Partner with regional offices to ensure accurate and timely financial submissions
- Support financial risk assessment and mitigation initiatives
- Drive continuous improvement across finance systems and workflows
- Lead and develop finance operations in India and Israel
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration
, or related field - Professional accounting qualification preferred (ACCA, ICAS, CIMA, or equivalent)
- 5–7 years’ experience in finance controlling or regional finance roles
- Experience operating in a multi‑country European environment
- Strong working knowledge of IFRS and local accounting standards
- Experience managing teams or leading cross‑border finance projects
- Proficiency with Workday Accounting or comparable ERP systems
- Advanced Excel and strong analytical capabilities
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross‑culturally
- Fluent English required; additional European languages a plus
