Financial Accountant

Meraki Talent are delighted to be leading the recruitment process for a Financial Accountant for our long standing global services sector client.

The Company

Our client is a hugely successful global service sector business who have been over-performing in a very competitive market. Through a strategic global strategy they are looking to recruit a number of Financial Accountants as they continue to invest in their operations based in Glasgow, which will support further expansion throughout 2026.

The Role

• Manage and ensure production and delivery of the full end-to-end process of their client's accounting requirements
• Oversee the full P&L and Balance Sheet production
• Provide fund valuation and accountancy duties to a range of clients i.e. Hedge Fund and Private Equity funds
• Ensure appropriate Regulatory compliance and governance
• Develop, build and enhance client relationships
• Preparing and analysing financial statements under IFRS and UK/US GAAP
• Monthly reconciliations, financial control of fund management
• Preparing audit files for auditors and client meetings
• Develop relationships with auditors for discussions on year end processes

You will ideally have a background in Financial Accounting or Reporting, Fund Accounting or an Audit background - this is an ideal opportunity to make a first move from accounting practice, which will provide an outstanding platform to progress within the growing organisation.

Candidate Profile

• Ideally qualified ACCA / ACA or with relevant experience in Fund Accounting and Control
• Minimum 3 years relevant experience
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
